it is unfortunate that David is painting the events in a disingenuous way. the fact is there are several videos from this festival that prove David and crew were provoking the police.
i have one question for David and crew, why not rent a booth like the Josh McDowell Ministry did and share the gospel within the tents and booths? why create the hostility and make this a political issue when in fact Christians were inside sharing the gospel with Muslims?
you can share the love of Christ and the gospel without your anti-Muslim rhetoric, why do you focus so much on Islam when your eyes and heart should be pointing people to Christ?
Your behavior has me scratching my head, I urge you to search your heart. It is not evident to people that you are doing this from love. Make sure your heart is in the right place. Nabeel did well with the young men, I hope he gets away from David's influence, for the sake of the gospel. Davis is all over the internet spewing hatred and anti-Muslim rhetoric.
I honestly wonder who is behind David, is it that he is so filled with hate? or is someone paying him or/ and encouraging him for political and monetary gain. The anti-Muslim gig these days goes far in conservative and Christian circles.
// several videos from this festival that prove David and crew were provoking the police.//
Where are they?
// why not rent a booth like the Josh McDowell Ministry did and share the gospel within the tents and booths?//
Perhaps they will in the future. But in America, you are not required to rent a space to share your beliefs at a public festival or to video. Hands down.
// why create the hostility and make this a political issue when in fact Christians were inside sharing the gospel with Muslims?//
Because of the illegality of the incident on the part of people who are supposed to protect citizens with the law.
// anti-Muslim rhetoric//
This implies that they target people. They do not. Both have said that they love Muslim people. They target the teaching and text of Islam. There is a difference between the two.
// why do you focus so much on Islam when your eyes and heart should be pointing people to Christ?//
You are creating a false dichotomy. Pointing out untruths also points to the truth, which is God.
// Make sure your heart is in the right place.//
Are you open to the possibility that their hearts are in the right place? From their life testimonies, I see their hearts are openly declared. They have pursued God over wealth and pleasures of this earthly life.
// I hope he gets away from David's influence, for the sake of the gospel.//
This is just slanderous. David’s message is the Gospel of Jesus. If he preaches a different gospel then he is to be rebuked according to Gal 1:6-10.
// Davis is all over the internet spewing hatred and anti-Muslim rhetoric.//
Support this statement. See above statement on “anti-Muslim rhetoric.”
*You have lots of charged wording and subtleties that make people question him without really investigating for themselves.*
Use actual facts, not just rhetorical statements and devices without substance. Please use the Scriptures, in context, for admonition of a fellow believer in Christ. Perhaps use your name, too, if you are a professing believer in Christ. How can you substantiate from the New Testament texts: 1) tearing down another’s ministry and 2) not being upfront with who you are when attempting to admonish or rebuke a fellow believer?
Thanks,
MJ
you will find lots of helpful information here:

these videos contradict the Acts 17 experience. these videos include Josh McDowell ministering INSIDE the Arab Festival in Dearborn.

there are more. look up acts17appalling on youtube.
I've seen these videos. You said "several videos from this festival that prove David and crew were provoking the police."
Where are those videos?
Josh McDowell's video in no way verifies conclusively that these Christians, who did not pay to rent a booth, were legally arrested by the police. It shows that Josh McDowell can rent a booth, autograph and pass out books containing a story of a religious nature at this festival. This also demonstrates nothing about Christians walking around the festival answering questions about God.
The mayor's letter has easily falsifiable information. Perhaps you should read my response to his letter: The May of Dearborn Responds
I had already posted his letter in my response.
The signed letter by a few ministries in the area is truly problematic. If these ministries say that they are standing for truth and the Christian spirit, well they need to speak up, because their brothers in Christ have some easily falsifiable nasty rumors being spread about them in the Dearborn area. Any untruth is an affront to God. So, to be consistent with doing things in a Christian spirit, as they described, these ministries need to correct the untruths about Acts 17 in a spirit of unity in Christ. Otherwise, it appears as though those ministries will only speak up when it behooves their particular ministry and not when it is just right to do so. I don't believe that is their heart. I think they are trying to do good work in a difficult situation. But I would like to see them being more vocal where untruths are being spread. The Christian Spirit is the Spirit of Truth even in difficult situations.
Now, anonymous, if you are going to come after someone's ministry, why not own up to your identity? You know, so the readers can understand better where you are coming from. Why should I or anyone else continue to listen to a non-identifiable person tell us what to think?
Gal 2:11 "But when Cephas [Peter] came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For prior to the coming of certain men from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to withdraw and hold himself aloof, fearing the party of the circumcision. The rest of the Jews joined him in hypocrisy, with the result that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in the presence of all, "If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?"
According to the Scriptures, it seems you need to oppose them face-to-face. The very least would be to identify yourself.
Thanks,
MJ
That link should read "The Mayor of Dearborn Responds" not "The May" 🙂
